Thirty days, six endings
In Inhuman Resources, you play the human resources AI for thirty days. What you accept and what you refuse decides the ending, and everyone’s fate.
Inhuman Resources is a satire: you play the human resources AI at a start-up. Expense reports, leave requests, messages in the team chat. You approve, you refuse.
On the first evening, act 1 fit into ten days. Then the choices had to matter. The game now has a narrative graph:
- 30 days, with a countdown to 2 December;
- choices in every app: the chat, email, the wiki, the console… and sometimes, silence is a choice;
- audits on days 8, 15 and 25;
- six endings, and at the end, each character’s fate.
There’s also the stuff that serves no purpose, and that I love the most. Today’s date, the real one, in the top bar. A minute’s silence on 11 November. An end song. And a few secrets for those who press the right keys at the right moment.
