Detention is complete
Ten difficulty levels, one for each school punishment, from a warning to expulsion. And a final level that almost nobody will win.
In Rembobine, once you’ve won the game at Recess Rules 41, you can start it again in Detention: ten levels, each harder than the last. Each one is named after a school punishment, because that’s where it all takes place.
Tonight, the tenth, Expelled, is playable. Detention is complete.
A few of them, to give you the idea:
- Parents Called In (+4): the Zapper points the remote at the living room itself, and the room becomes whatever show is on.
- Warning (+5): the bosses’ big attacks are announced by an alarm. The first one that hits leaves you on 1 HP, with a yellow card held up. The second one is the red card.
- Reprimand (+6): a school notebook empties at the top of the screen during every boss fight. The bosses get angry sooner.
- Conduct Zero (+7): nobody picks you up anymore.
- Expelled (+10): the bosses get 10% more health and damage.
For the Scroll, the final boss, I wanted a real ending. In its last phase, the video feed scrolls under your feet and drags everyone down. At the very bottom, the next video hurts. The on/off button is at the very top. On the last press, Léo steps out of the feed, runs to the button and presses it with Nath. The feed stops.
As for the numbers: with a 25% bonus, our bots won 0 games out of 1,000. At 10%, they win 0.2%. That suits me: expulsion has to be earned. The reward is a title on the Honor Roll, “Expelled… and proud of it”.
